My name is Rachel. I’m 22 and I live in sunny SoCal. Outside of Binky Bunny, I’m a full-time college student (studying advertising) and sell video games. Other than my bun, I have 4 other pets (a dog, a bird, and  2 guinea pigs). Frankie is my first ever bunny, and I absolutely adore him!

Well, I am 28yo, married and my only children are Carrera, Pookie, Cooper and a Hedgehog named Snuggles. Graduated from Miami U with a bachelors in nursing several years ago. I stopped working back in December due to chronic illness (intractable migraine disease). Spent time at the Cleveland Clinic and all that good stuff. But Im much better now and taking my time finding a part time job as an RN. I volunteer at the local humane society three mornings a week cleaning cages and socializing the buns. I also spoil them rotten. lol

Oh Lord….pictures?!!  Well, you all are a good-looking group!!  The only way I am going to show one is one from a two years ago.  I’ve gained a whopping 50 pounds since then, and I’m freaky sensitive about it …I blame it on knee surgeries (ACL replacement, repairs etc etc)  from skiing "incidents" but honestly, it’s just being 40 and loving chocolate. However, I’ve been walking five miles every other day,  and eating right, and I’ve already almost lost 10 pounds, so I’m getting back.

I love hiking mountain biking and skiing (though the last two I miss since I can’t push myself as hard just yet)  

My career is freelance broadcast writer/producer. I worked for a local TV station for five years before going on my own to freelance. I am not fond of producing, so I usually just take on writing jobs. You can see my stuff on  my ‘ol crickety website – http://www.fosterideas.com (though lately the demo reel part hasn’t been working right.)   I started taking some time off to do things that I enjoy like BinkyBunny.com which has grown so quickly and to write scripts I want to write, that are for me, and if something great ever comes of it then great.

My husband, of 8 years, is a freelance architect and business owner of Speedreg.com.  So we’re lucky to work on our own schedule even if it gets busy at times.   We don’t have kids yet, maybe never.  Can’t quite figure out if we’re ready for another whole human being, but since I am 40, I should probably figure it out soon.

Though we enjoy our quiet time, (I gotta have my "me" time,)  we’re also very silly people who like having fun.

I’m 34 and it’s pretty fun being the goth volunteer with a rabbit rescue.  You wouldn’t believe how often I’d get approached in costco and other places with bunny questions!   I guess the purple hair I had for over a year made me pretty recognizable!  These days it’s red, but changes shades often.   I’m also married, and have had bunnies since I was 5.  I work in training & development, but am usually working on some artsy project and am supposed to be writing a paranormal romance novel, he he.  I’m pretty geeky and spend way too much online!

truthfully there are only rare people who actually believe that they themselves look pretty in pictures. trust me….. compaired to all of us out there they are puny!! so ive learned that and i also learned that you can never be happy with the way you look, angles and all so i learned to screw it and just snap away even though i am usually on the other side of the camera. =P lets see all the pics people!! dont be embarrassed!!! all ive seen are pretty (and handsome) people so far. =)

Sarita – 44 years old.  This is me with my old glasses – the only picture I have but I still look the same.  I am a partner in an insurance company with my brother and father.  I have been doing rabbit rescue for maybe 8 years – I had a small fostering group for about 5 years and now I am a board member for the North Texas Rabbit Sanctuary.  I currently have 13 rabbits (possibly I will have a home for 2 of them if I can bond them with another rabbit – fingers crossed).  Oh, I also have a cockatiel named Mozart.

So lessee, me…

I’m a 19 year old college student going to Brandeis University in Massachusetts to become an English literature professor (despite the fact that I spell like a 6 year old), I currently live in a castle (Brandeis is famous for the castle-come-dorms at the top-most point of their property), um, I work at a Gamestop during school breaks… I officially have one currently gender-indeterminate bunny named Winnie and a mopey but secretly affectionate chinchilla named Baxter, but I also share custody of my first bunny, Monty, with my mom because she stole him when I left him home with her one two many weeks after not having enough room in my car to drive him back to school… The bunnies are both rexes because they are just about the only furry animals that don’t make my face explode with allergy-goo.

Much like the rest of you, I don’t really have any half-way decent picture of myself on my computer, so I’ll post a few semi-decent ones… since… I usually look stoned in photos. o___o

The first one is me on the roof of the castle I live in, the second is a low res webcam pic, the third is me looking very much like I just rolled out of bed holding winnie, and the fourth is me and a bunch of friends at the ice cream parlor near Brandeis (I’m hugging my ex-boyfriend.)

This is a great thread. What a neat idea!  While I’m looking for a decent photo of myself, I just had to chime in for the California people. I was born and raised in Huntington Beach and lived there until I was 25. When it came time for a ‘real life’ I could afford, I moved to the midwest and I love it here in Wisconsin!  All of the rest of my family is still in California though – Lake Forest, San Diego, Napa and Sonoma – so I have lots of great vacation choices when I visit.  I will post a suitable pic as soon as I find one, but in the meantime I just want to say that it’s cool to be part of such a great group, and it’s neat to see that we come from near and far and all over the place, and we all love bunnies!  What could be better?

About me:

I am 21 from Peoria Heights, Illinois. I am a Psychology student at Bradley University in Peoria, IL and I also am minoring in German. I love all things European and I’ve studied Swedish, Russian, and German but chose to focus on German. I completed my certification requirements for becoming a ceritified addiction counselor this summer and  I am currently a drug and alcohol counselor for  small treatment center here in Peoria. I plan on going to grad school after next year for my Phd in psychology at Argosy University in Chicago.I love to cook — its insane how much I cook. I will cook even if no one is hungry and out of bordeom. I am actually good at it, believe it or not. I live with my boyfriend, Nick, who is pictured below petting Lullabelle. He has a degree in criminal justice and is currently a rent-a-cop ( hed kill me if he knew i said that LOL) at a casino in the area. He has so much more potential – ANYWAY! This is our family.

my name is Beka (betcha coulda figured that one out…)  i am 24, been married to Mike for 5 years this month.  we have a a 4 year old, MIchael.  we have decided that MIchael is going to be an only child (sort of… my husband has a ten year old from a previous relationship, but he doesn’t live with us.)  anytime i get that itch to have another baby, i just look at Michael and look at Meadow and remind myself that i’m busy enough…

i work Saturdays at Babies "R" Us as a registry consultant (fancy-talk for "i have people complaining to me all day long" consultant…) and i’m a stay-at-home mom/bunny slave the rest of the time.  i am half-way done with college.  right now i’m on a waiting list for the dental hygiene program at my school.  i start again full-time in August, so these are my last months of relative freedom for about two years. 

i am a Deadhead, so when i’m not on BinkyBunny, i am doing Grateful Dead related stuff.  i probably spend at least 20-30 hours a week on my music collection (i have over 1000 live concert recordings that i’ve collected over the last several years.)  if you want to, you can check my list of live music at http://db.etree.org/Beka27

aside from that… i love to read, watch movies, drive around aimlessly with friends (which sucks b/c of gas prices now-a-days).  i am a neat-freak (most of the time) which is great when i’m at home, but ends up stressing me out during school b/c the housework suffers.

I moved to South Florida 5 years ago, and turned 50 (eek!) last November. For my 42nd birthday I was given a bunny (J.S. Spock) by my brother and two nephews. I lived in the Berkshires, MA, and was a museum Curatorial Exhibition Coordinator there. I’m single (I like men, just not the ones I dated!), no kids (can’t have ’em), and am crazy about bunnies now.  My parents, brother and sis-in-law, aunt, and family friends all had moved here first.

My background is in art and publishing mostly, (art, photog, editing).  I’m trying to find work and then be able to give a good home to a new bunny. (Spockie died last December.) Here I am with my favorite guy around 2005. (I now have short hair and more lbs.)

YEA! As of this writing I have a new part-time job at (yet another) very small museum that I always knew about but never saw job openings there. People there are soooooo nice, they don’t leave. BUT, the museum Director needed an assistant to work with her on exhibitions and run the place in her absence on weekends. I have a staff of volunteers, work Sat, Sun, Tues and Wed. and will wear as many hats as they give me. We all are getting along, so there is hope that it will turn into full time in a few months. I still have to give up my apartment in May and bunk in with my family, but it might not be for long. Full time = $ for apartment = BUNNY roommate!!! (Not soon enough!)

My name is Victoria. I will be 42 next month. I have a MFA and have had a carrer as a Photographen and Chef. I love to teach – I taught recreational cooking classes for many years. Yes, I do see the irony of a chef having bunnies.

I have lived all over the USA. Did most of my growin in Texas. I have been in Colorado for about 10 years now and really love it.

My husband is Jeremy. He is an engeneer and currently works as a Software architect. We are desigining and building metal and wood furniture in our spare time – hopefully to turn into a business.

While we both grew up with lots of pets. Kay & Winston are our first Rabbits. I also included a photo of our beloved husky, Nietzsche, who passed away last Thanks Giving. As you can see, I think he would have approved of Bunnys!

Things have improved a bit. I did get a new part time job this month. The best part is that it’s at a lovely little museum nearby ( minimal commute time) that I knew about but never saw any openings. They are run almost entirely by volunteers, with just the Museum Director in charge on the site. Well, she’s been curating the shows and running the place since the 80s, and only is budgeted for P/T help on occasion. She had that opening and grabbed me for it. Museum Assistant. I am in charge on the weekends in her place, and help her two days a week. If it works out well, there may be an option to go full time after 3 months or more, budget permitting. She really needs my help and experience. I have my hopes up. It’s low key, part of a cultural center with performing arts and art classes/workshops. Very dynamic growing place. Maybe I’ll get lucky there. I need the $ and benefits!

P/T means I have to wait longer to get a new bunny. I will be moving out of my apartment in May to stay with my parents until I get full time work. They LOVED Spockie, but are not set up for a new bun to come with me, so I will respect their wishes and wait until I live on my own again. I am really having a hard time without a bunny in my life. Maybe it won’t be as long as I expect. Wish me luck. (I need a bunny miracle I think.)

I was told Spockie was a mini-Rex. MINI! At his full adulthood he got up to 8 lbs, and wasn’t obese. He moved well and fast, then I had him diet a little so he seemed to stay at 6.5 – 7 lbs. until the last year when he lost back leg mobility and muscle mass. I suspect he was a cross breed between a mini and a regular rex.

I’m Meghan!  I’m 26 years old and just bought my first home- a small condo in Milford, NH.  I live there with Adam (my man), Mouse (my cat), Kit and Kat (my mice), David Bowie (my betta fish) and Dexter and Simon (my bunnies).  I work as a grant writer at a social services agency.  I love to read, drive a tiny hybrid car ( a Honda Insight) and love riding horses!  In fact, I work part-time as a trainer at a small farm- not a lot of money, but I love it!

Im Ashley, im 23 my husband is Darren who is also 23.. we have two children Elliott (4) and Ethan (2). We live in Sunny South Florida. Outside of BB im an office manager and independant monavie distributor and an internet addict hahaha.. we spend alot of time outdoors. Some of you have seen my other picture, but this one is kinda special.  Not the greatest picture of me, it was 7 in the morning and my wife snapped this picture of me cuddling Houdini, the first bunny on death row that I was involved in saving.  Someone read my Craig’s List appeal about him and adopted him.  We kept him overnight at our house the night he was pulled from the shelter, and he was adopted the next day.  It was an absolutely amazing feeling.

Markusdark, thank you for reviving this thread!  Had no idea it existed!

I posted in the other thread, but here goes again…

I’m 30 and work as a freelance theatrical lighting designer (meaning I design the lighting for plays, musicals, dance concerts, events) in Southern California.  It’s nice, because I’m at a different theatre in a different city every week.  But I spend a lot of time on the freeway…I think it’s worth it, though.  I wouldn’t do well in a cubicle.  Also, I often have rehearsal till midnight…it’s a good thing Lizzy Diva Bunny is a nightowl!  (Although I often feel guilty about locking her up in her pen at 1am when I just let her out at midnight, so I end up falling asleep on the couch while she plays, and she takes the opportunity to make a flying leap onto my head…eek! Flying fanged furball!)

I also have 4 Betta fish named Uni, Edamame, Tempura, and Teriyaki.  Ebi was my 5th, but he just died a week ago.  Teriyaki is currently sick, and it makes me crazy that vets don’t treat fish because they’re seen as disposable pets…but that’s another topic.  (Just keep your fingers crossed for poor Yaki as I throw over-the-counter meds at him…)

Lightchick, is that a 1/2 gallon tank? 1/2 gallons are really too small for bettas…I would upgrade to a 1 gallon at least…I was a betta fanatic a few years ago, had 50, imported $400 worth from Thailand, bred them, etc. If you need any illness advice or med suggestions feel free to ask! I’ve been there done that with pretty near everything betta!

Hello, my name is Mary and yes, I’m a bunny addict. (everyone says hello) <- see what I mean?

 

I’m 45 this September (cries) and I’m married for almost 21 years now. We have two children, my son is going to be 19 in November and my daughter turns 17 two weeks after that. The little peeps are getting ready to fly the coop! *sniffle*

 

I’ve done a number of things in my life; left high school determined to be a rock star, well that fell through, I’ve been a postal worker in contract stations, a pharmacy store clerk, a medical records gopher (which is where I met my hubby) but nothing really called me to a career. So we were married and after a year I was pregnant with my son. We lived in a little beach town on the California coast for a few years and right before my grandfather/stepdad passed away my daughter was born. We lived in his home for a short time while the estate was being settled and then decided it was time we moved to the hubby’s birthplace, Fairbanks, Alaska. We’ve been here ever since, which is about 13 ½ years.

 

I have spent that time home schooling my children, having little to no faith in the public school system. In the last 3 years, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and went through an aggressive treatment program and have been in remission ever since.

Here’s me and Mimzy after a trip to the vet last winter. Only halfway decent piccy of me I can find, I hate having my picture taken!

Ah I love this thread.  You guys are some lookers and some adorable little bunnies as well! 

 

Well, my name is Jamie (everybody I know calls me James).  I am 26 years old, happily single, and live in Erie, PA.  Not my destination but it’s been a comfy nest so far.  I work in emergency mental health and see some pretty interesting and sometimes down-right scary things on a day-to-day basis.  I do love my job, though, because the majority of the time, I get the sense that I am really helping people.  That’s my full time job, but I also have a part time job working one on one with whichever autistic child I am paired with at the moment.  I like that job better but, alas, it doesn’t pay as well, isn’t full time and doesn’t offer any benefits so the choice is clear.  There’s nothing like breaking into that outer shell of a nonverbal child and really getting to understand what they’re saying.  I grew up in Iowa and my entire family lives there still.  I LOVE to be outside and spend almost every spare moment that i can doing something outdoors, which isn’t too hard since I only work 4 REALLY LONG days a week.  I lived in Michigan for a while, then came to Pennsylvania to finish my degree, and here I am, for the time being at least.  I am a music junkie and own approximately 3000 CDs, the only thing I really care to collect.  I also read a lot.  I own no TV and no computer at home so I only get online at work.  At least my electric bills are small!    I got Layla because I knew that I needed a companion and I had a couple of friends who had house rabbits who highly recommended it to me.  I did a ton of research, and then I picked her out at a farm in town.  Recently I learned that the rabbits who don’t get sold as pets by this person get butchered () so I sorta feel like I saved her.  (I actually drove by the place this weekend, listening to Animal Liberation Organization, just thinking I needed to let those bunnies go, but I then I remembered that the people who own the farm also own “domesticated” wild foxes and thought better of it.  Breaks my little heart though.)  Finally, I volunteer pretty heavily in the Barack Obama Campaign for Change and that takes up a lot of my time until we get my man into office . 

Wow, that was winded.  Slow day at work, and I guess I had some time to kill!    Here are some pics of me.  (I happen to be one of those people who LOVES having her picture taken…)

I’m am 19 (going to be 20 September 6th!!!) and a English major at the University of Calgary, I’m going into my 3rd year. After my BA I will *hopefully* being getting my teaching degree for junior/high school. Basically I love singing, travelling, being outside and reading/writing. I am currently writing my first novel, who knows what will happen with it but I like to think it’s worth a shot if you love doing something.  I like most animals more than I like most people hehe jk… well not really kidding but I’m sure everyone here will know what I mean. My boyfriend (Adam) and I have been together for 2 1/2 years, he’s wonderful even though Smudge doesn’t really like him they are making progress! I am the oldest of 5 kids and I have a huge extended family. That’s all I can think of!

Seeing everyone else is great! I love being able to put faces to the names.

i would say i have a brown lop, but i dunno really what color he is…theres a pic of him on this thread like page five i think. Hes like greyish black with brown tips on his fur. so i dunno…

MimzMum … I honestly have no idea how much Luey weighs … I’ve never had him weighed.  He looks a bit of a lump, but he has his winter coat on so makes him look like a big bunny.  At a guess I’d say he would not be any more than 2.5 kilograms, about 5.5 pounds.

This is a fun post! Well here I go!

I’m Sophie and I’m 22. I’m the mom of an english angora bunny and 5 guinea pigs. I live in downtown Chicago in a studio apartment and I’m trying to finish my BA in Sociology. I want to work in Animal Assisted Therapy.
I had Thyroid cancer at 19 in 2005. I’m better now but yearly body scans are quite a pain, grrr.

I love music, dancing, my pets, my family, movies, TV, the color pink, doing make up and hair, and a million other things lol. I have four tattoos and am planning to get more even though my mom will kill me lol. I love baseball and I’m a huge chicago cubs fan (esp since I live 3 blocks from Wrigley Field!)

OK, I HATE to have my picture taken.  Seriously, if I see a camera I am outa there.  I have hundreds of my pets- and hardly any of me.  But if there is a pet in the picture it makes it a little better.

These are some pics of me goofing around with our Golden Retriever, Linus.  These pics were taken about 2 years ago.  My parents were in town to visit and they LOVE to take pics- so this is one of the few that feature me (I caved in).  But since Linus is gone now- I am happy that I do have these photos of us together.

Julie- I live in Holland, Mi, and I soon to be 34 years old and I work at a vet clinic.  I have 2 dogs, 5 cats, 1 bunny and 9 parrots, 4 saltwater fish tanks and 1 freshwater fish tank.

If you love tattoos and love the cubs you will love this! My brother, cousin, and I got these tattoos when our grandpa died….he was from Chicago and LOVED any thing Cubs/Bears/Bulls…..but especially the Cubbies!

My name is Andrea! I am 16 and super friendly. I love all animals, especially horses, buns and mountain lions! Haha.  I got my first bun in June, Dallas! He’s the sweetest bun I ever could have asked for. I live in a cute and homey 2 story house on a 10 acre farm in Texas. There is no lack of animals in my house. 5 horses, 3 dogs, 1 turtle, 2 fish, 15 cats and 1 bun(soon to be 2!!!). I will be honest, almost all of the animals are my “fault”. Especially the cats. I have a knack for luring in stray animals who take to me like white on rice, and then I become very close with them. All my pets are spayed/neutered except my bun Dallas, he gets the snip treatment next month, hehe. I love having a good time and hanging out with friends, I just love life. I’m not your normal teenager, I rarely have teenager “moments”, I haven’t had a boyfriend in years(I’m not even looking. A guy will just get in the way of my goals and it’s highly likely that at my age/his age, we wouldn’t be together forever. Why waste my time?) and I have never given in to peer pressure. I can honestly say I’ve never had an alcoholic drink, a cigarette, done drugs, etc. and I am proud of myself for that. I love meeting new people. I DO have a job, working at a local hardware store, and I’ve got my drivers permit. I’m really outdoorsy, love being around nature. You can usual find me practicing photography(wildlife, landscape,etc.), camping, hiking, horseback riding, jogging or just laying in the grass enjoying the beautiful sunny weather. I’m down to earth, and I’m an aspiring Arabian Horse Breeder, my idol being Sheila Varian of Varian Arabians.

Well my name is Marilu and I have been married to my sweetheart for 2 years now. I re located to California in the fall of 2007, but prior to that was a Floridian, born and raised. I have two retired racing Greyhounds named Sibylla and Walter and my husband got me my first bunny when she was only 2 months old in July of 2008. TigerLily has been the best thing that ever happened to me, she helped me get through serious depression and helped me get my life back!

I am an Author and have worked in Film and TV since I was 14 but am looking for a career change as I realized it no longer makes me happy. I hope 2009 is a good year
