Spooky’s nose gets like that too. I was told it was just allergies from old pieces of hay in his cage. I don’t think its anything to be worried about unless it stays that way for a long time.

          But I might be wrong!

I have not heard her sneezing at all.

I just left a message at her veternarian’s clinic to let her know I maybe coming in tomorrow for an emergency check up.

First of all, wow, how did you manage to get Chacha to stay still for you to take a pic like that? o_O

If buns are breathing hard or hyperventilating (can happen because they stress easily) their noses will get a little wet too. Happens all the time when we take Peppy to the vet, because she’s scared of car rides, lol. Is there any visible colored discharge?

is her breathing any louder if you hold your ear up to her nose? she could just be a little boogery.

our Usako gets an upper respiratory infection almost every winter. (in fact i took her in tuesday for this year’s one)
a week of baytril 2x daily and benebac clears them up no problem.

I think chacha is just scaring me

After another making this topic, about 15 minutes later, her nose has dried o_O;; I am thinking she stuck her nose in her water dish. I am still watching her, but her nose is completely dry.

Her breathing is fine, I looked up her nose, no discharge or anything. She isn’t sneezing either.

Silly rabbit of mine. She gets the best of me!

Peppy, I put her on the toilet seat (with a cover that is fluffy) and I put my head on her head to keep her still. She was moving all around.

I wouldn’t worry unless it happens really often. Bindi and Olivia get that occasionally. Sometimes you can tell by just looking at Olivia because the fur around her nostrils gets a bit darker.

Sammy’s nose used to get wet occasionally but as long as it went back to normal shortly I knew there wasn’t anything really wrong. Make sure you monitor for any changes in appetite, any future sneezing, and any frequent re-occurence of the wetness though. If these further symptoms happen, then you might want to double-check it’s not something more serious.

Both of my buns get wet noses like that occasionally. Otto’s is usually a little wet to the touch at all times, but I don’t see the wet look. I do see the wet look on Hannah’s from time to time.

I would say it’s normal unless you see mucus too.
