Well, there’s good news and bad news.  Physically, Olive’s in good shape, but a fecal sample resulted in coccidia, so she’s on meds for that (and is NOT happy about being syringe fed the meds).  The next ten days are going to be oh-so-fun…

She’s young, isn’t she? I had to do a 2 week course of oral antibiotics for my bun who is approaching 1 year now, and they only way to do it was to put it on a banana or strawberry. Is Olive eating any of those foods yet? Might be helpful and less stressful!

Yes, I have a young bun, but she’s 12 weeks, so I’m going to put some in mashed up banana and hope she eats it.  Otherwise I’m going to have to syringe feed, and I don’t have much confidence in my abilities.

Well the good news is that you did get her checked and caught it. Unchecked would be so much worse. 10 days will go by fast.

Thanks!  I always do well exams on my animals–even those who look healthy, but especially bunnies, because they hide illness so well.
