Well I got the xpen just like beka’s and set it up in the living room. I let tonk stay out in it all night because it’s bigger then the area she normally stays in all night but when I got up this morning there were poops everywhere!!!!  I changed litters last night too. Do you think I gave her too much over night space? I just don’t get it when I got her 3 mo ago (spayed) yet was totally litter trained.  Should I just stick to the xpen when i’m home and in the living room and lock her up at night? I just thought it would be nice for her to have more space at night!

she scattered poops all over  she is marking territory her new territory and getting it to smell like her. this should die down in a week or so. and they do leave stray poops here n there sometimes     tho this sounds like marking behavior here. yeah I know

I agree with Bunnytowne, give her more time. Once she stops marking she will use her litter box. This is typical of a rabbit in a new set-up.

Oh I sure hope it’s just a marking thing!! The cats are in here too now where before she was alone so I guess she is telling the cats “hey this is my area” crazy bunnies!!

LOL, I can always tell when the cats have been in Shadow’s condo….the 2nd level is covered with poops and the area around his litter box is surrounded. Other than that he is great with his poops and he only pees in his 2 litter boxes. It is a territorial thing and if da stoopid katz don ged it…it will continue.
