What is the weirdest or craziest rabbit-hooman thing you’ve ever done for your bunny? Either to entertain or help them?

I’ve done a lot of odd things for Olaf but, most recently, I wore a headband stuffed with parsley stalks to woo him close enough so I could trim his nails while he nommed. Let me tell you, parsley bangs are going to be all the rage! He usually catches on and will run off with the parsley, mocking my attempts.

(Note: This is an incredibly unsafe way to trim your rabbit’s nails. I was desperate and only use this tactic when I’m trimming the very tips of his nail. No big cuts! I usually only get one or two nails done per session so it is also remarkably inefficient.)

I don’t think I’ve done anything that could top a parsley headband! That is hilarious

I go outside and cut fresh grass covered in the morning dew for them. Before coffee.

Pre-coffee, fresh-dew grass?! Spoiled rotten, I tell ya. The things we do for love.

A parsley headband!!! Genius! I sneak out after dark and cut grass for Bam. I wear a led lamp hat so I can find the best and greenest grass. Effi is my partner in this not-exactly-crime-but-still-pretty-weird-behavior.

Bam, that’s a hoot! I can see you and Effie out stalking the goods all stealth-like. Love!

Sometimes, I feed the rabbit before I feed the kids

When my kids are skulking off to timeout for one crime or another I’ll go and sit with fluffykins and whisper “you’re mommy’s good boy aren’t you.” He makes it all better

Forgot to add: I plan ALL family meals around what veg I’ve gotten for the rabbit.

Can we ever have too many Clovers?

Yeah, I know, that’s great! I clicked on this thread with the intent to post something, but I think that one makes all my behavior seem dull

Sometimes I do little dances for my rabbit. I think this entertains her, and sometimes she will even binky along on her side of the fence.

Haha, Ive done some binkies to try get a rabbit to binky also. Or just joined in when they’re already in binky mode. It’s kinda exhausting. lol.
Ive thought of some little things to share also, but I don’t think of them as weird as it’s sort of become normal for me now. Like having “groom me” wars with TimTim, trying to put my head lower then his. I often do tooth purring also.
I think Im not alone in doing this kinda stuff.

Oh! I thought of something a past forum leader posted about once. She and her husband didn’t want to shut their rabbits up at night, but the buns had developed a habit of coming up on their bed and marking it. So they decided to sleep with a shower curtain over their bedding. Lol!
It might have been that it was a temporary, post-bond phase that they knew would improve. I can’t imagine they’d sleep under a shower curtain for the long term!
