Dallas makes noises while he eats, some sound sort of like wheezing, but not usually. Usually it sounds like grunting or snorting, like he’s being a pig about his food and snarfing it all down, making noises because of it. He isn’t really shovelling down his food, but that’s just what it sounds like. He doesn’t do it any other time, except for snoring when he sleeps sometimes, and he doesn’t sound/act in pain when he does it. He hasn’t always done this, it started about 2 months ago. I researched some about it and couldn’t find anything that pointed to trouble, and since it’s never bothered him I left it alone – figuring since he’s still young that it’s him changing in some ways. Is it okay? do any of your buns do that, or something similar?

As long as he’s not making it all the time (which would indicate to me that’s its a noise he’s not making on purpose but more of a wheezing or coughing) I think it’s OK too-sounds to me like it’s happy murmuring

I have a rabbit who makes noises when he eats…kind of a grumbling sound. He’s a very vocal rabbit.

Okay, good I’ve always known he’s a little piggy about his food, guess he figured he should let everybody know how much he loves it

If it sounds like, ‘om nom nom nom nom nom’ then you should be ok

Curly Sue squeaks when she drinks! Really funny to hear.

Jack, sometimes will do a bit of a grunt right at his first bite. (though many times he’ll do binkies right before i put the food down…so maybe he’s just catching his breath?)

Bailey used to squeek – like cute little female “nom, nom, nom’s” when she would eat her favorite greens.
