My housemate’s rabbit, Thumper has a giant wet spot around one of his eyes. I have been keeping an eye on it for a few days and it’s not getting any better. I looked it up and I’m pretty sure she will have to take him to the vet. I just wanted any advice/confirmation for others before I begin urging her.

(I’ll post a picture of his eye after my last final exam)

Watering eyes are not normal and I would try to get her to take him to the vet as soon as you can. Why doesn’t she want to take him?

It could be a number of things and yes, a trip to the vet is the only way to diagnose and/or treat.

Okay, thanks! I will let her know and have her make an appointment.
