Hey guys, bit of a query…

I sometimes find little pee spots on the bunny’s wooden castle area. It doesn’t happen very often, maybe once every few weeks? If that. Today being one of those days. Usually it’s a teeny little smidgen of pee but today it was a slightly larger spot. It doesn’t look like a deliberate pee attempt (Peanut sometimes goes through phases where he pees near the litter trays and it’s always a puddle) This spot is more, I dunno, it kinda looks like it’s rubbed off of his fur?) I’m actually not sure which bun did it although Peanut has been bun loafing in that particular place a bit more lately. I can’t see any other spots so it’s not like he is dribbling pee as such (it’s not on the ramps or the bridge leading to his bun loaf spot) so I’m wondering if it is just a case of him peeimg in the litter tray and jumping out before it’s all dripped out thus getting on his fur a bit. I guess then it’s transferring onto the castle when he lays down? Is that…normal? As I said, it doesn’t happen very often but it has me a bit perplexed!

I feel under his butt and tail area regularly and he is always nice and dry. Buttercup’s area is usually dry too unless she has *just* peed in the litter tray – she has a very fluffy butt/undercarriage area.

        Thoughts?

Do they get wet fur when they drink water? Wick sometimes gets really “classy” and sort of dunks his chin into his bowl, so then he leaves wet spots everywhere for the next hour.

Buttercup dunks her whole chin in the bowl so she does drip. Peanut is a bit more careful This was defo pee tho as it was yellowy coloured.

Mine do have longer fur than your pair, but we do get occasional things like this, especially if something catches their fancy mid pee and they dont finish properly, they dont finish peeing in the other spot, but maybe like a leak?

Id keep an eye out for any signs of discomfort, but other than that they might just be a little but lazy about their litter habits?

I’m sure that’s all it is as they don’t appear to have any other issues but I shall keep an eye out anyway. Thanks!

It could also be bumberry juice. When Choo’s snacking on cecals, some leave wetness behind that looks just like tiny patches of pee.

Somebun decided to spray my nice white carpet the other day… I think sometimes the urge to mark is just irresistible.

Sirius – white carpet? That’s a brave choice!

I chose cream wool shag for our Kuwait flat. Kept losing Chewie on it. To be fair, my trees stained the carpet more (via tinted water overflow) than the bunster did. lol
