Webcams are fixed!!

Awesome!  I have been checking every couple of days!  I always used to check to see Bailey on the webcams.  She was my favorite (although I love Jack and Rucy too)- there was just something about Bailey and her bunny bird (stress) ears and her personality that really appealed to me.  I cried when she passed away- and my husband even knew what I was talking about when I told him Bailey died (I made him look at the webcam feed when there was something cute).

Do you use regular web cams like people use for internet chat or do you use a security type camera hooked up to the computer? 

I am thinking about hooking something up after I get Cotton and Penny bonded and a new condo built- I have a webcam that I never use, and I thought that might work.

There are happy binkies in this house now that the webcams are back up!  Papaya Tablets for everyone!!

EDITED: I forgot to add  – Beka, yes, that cocoon looking thing is something we sell in the store, it’s the Oxbow Timothy Bungalow.  It’s made out of Timothy hay.  Completely edible. Though, they just chew on the openings to make them bigger. 

Katnip – Thanks so much for your kind words about Bailey. She was a special bunny and I am glad you cared for her too. So much personality, especially since she had come from a neglected past – my understanding was she was taken by ACC from her original owners, and by the time they got her in shape for adoption, she was still just too skinny, but even with her past, she was just full of affection and tons of personality.

Beka – I don’t think I ever took pics of the whole set-up, we plan on taking down the current pen that is in the bunny room since it’ doesn’t matter if it’s there or not anymore. I just kept their up when I took Bailey’s down to make sure they wouldn’t mark their new territory like crazy and learn new “litterbox” locations. So I used the pen for littertraining, but it doesn’t need to be there anymore. Plus, I have an xpen if I need to give the occasional refresher courses.

But as soon as we take that pen down – hopefully this week, I”ll take pics to help orient people where the cameras are and to show what the bunny room looks like.

We use chat type cameras, but we had to go through a few to get the good ones. We also use a completely separate server for them because it takes up so much bandwidth as well it makes it a little more secure.
