Yup….my bf kept threatening to take the lint roller to Boston if she didn’t stop shedding (she HATES the furminator)…I kept telling him no, then last night, I walked in on him lint rolling her!!! And she LIKED it! Can you believe there. She just kind of stood there, almost ready to meatloaf, but not quite sure how she felt yet. And HOLY COW did that lint roller get some hair! Is this stupid/crazy/harmful?

Never tried it.   Heard of people doing it though.  Hey as long as it works why not right.

Its just using tape to remove hair. Shouldnt be harmful to your bun. It wont leave anything on Bostons fur so you dont need to worry about her licking herself and tasting anything.

Now…if you told us he took the vacuum hose to her..we might be a little worried. My husband has done this before to one bunny w/ a hand-held vacuum but it was really low suction and the rabbit liked it. Weirdo. lol

Three of my 4 is shedding and it is driving me insane. I will sit and just pull hair out by the handfuls. so much fur!

I use a lint brush to get the last bits of hair after I brush Bunny. It is one of those that are a peice of velvety material that captures hairs.
It is the only way to get the little fuzzy ear hairs off too

Wow, that has to be one mellow zen bun. If I came near my bunnies with the tape roller, I’d pull back a bloody stump! 0_o

I would just be careful with it. I doubt it’s sticky enough to leave residue, but I did receive a nasty paper cut from the edge of one as I was pulling off used tape. >.<

I was more worried that it was pulling hair that it shouldn’t, but I don’t suppose its any stronger than a furminator!

Crayon—We have one of those lint rollers at one of my jobs–I work at a clothing store. They are AMAZING!

Hmmm…Hedi, we do have a little dust buster….better not give the BF anymore ideas though!

Lightchick admitted to lint rolling Lizzy last year and I do it all the time to Charlie especiay just before I go to the vet (I lint roll myself and then give him a quick swipe!) We’ve got to look our best

Yep, my bf vacuumed Charlie and Layla about 2 weeks ago. Vacuum on lowest setting getting cobwebs and the just wouldn’t leave the vacuum cleaner alone (they like to chase it and attack it) so he gave them both a quick swipe with it and they LOVED it. They’ve now taken to flopping next to the vacuum cleaner when ever it’s out. The word ‘strange’ doesn’t even come close to describing some bunnies LOL!

lol See the vacuum may be a good thing! lol I cant believe Cassi&Charlie that both liked it. My lop lets my husband vacuum him. But you have think, if we were all furry like that and shedding that has to be so frustrating for buns so any help may be appreciated.

oh my goodness….we call the buns weird, but look at us weirdo humans vaccuuming our bunnies!!! LOL!

Boston only likes the vaccuum if she’s out of her cage. I think she feels like she can get away then, even though she never tries too. But if she’s in her cage and you turn the vac on, she freaks!

Aww, Cassi, I never actually lint-rollered Lizzy! Her highness would NEVER stand for it! I just threaten to because she’s a brat…

Robbie attacks the lint-roller…he thinks it’s satanic…he growls and pounces and boxes…and i don’t even get it near him, just hold it in my hand and he goes NUTS!!!

Lizzy is TERRIFIED of the vacuum, and runs in circles like a maniac trying to avoid it. Robbie is okay with ignoring it…as long as it is over THERE, far away (ie, in the next room)…

I don’t use the vacuum near any of my pets. They are all terribly frightened of it.

I did have a Siamese cat when I was a ‘tween that loved being vacuumed. My mum would take the hose attachment and run it all over her, even on her stomach, and she’d just sit there and purr. (She had terrible fleas if we didn’t do it.)

My littlest cat will hide somewhere and not come out for a whole day if the vacuum turns on. I always worry he’s escaped to outside to get away from it.

LC That’s hilarious!! Robbie hates the lint brush!!

We have one, the velvet type, now you guys are making me think of trying it on them.

Incidentily Dave vaccummed Rupert last night…just because Rupert wouldn’t move for him to vaccum, not to clean up fur. Apparently Rupert just sat there. Dave got in trouble rest assured ….What is it with men doing weird things to animals (like putting socks on cat’s heads) ? oi!

                                    What…socks??? lol?? story?

Jared usually ends every sentence with “lets just get rid of the bunny”….for example: “There is hay EVERYWHERE!” —“lets just get rid of the buny” or Boston won’t go back in her cage at bedtime—“lets just get rid of the bunny” OR “HOW CAN SHE SHED THAT MUCH????”—-“lets just get rid of the bunny”…………………..yet….I constantly find him laying on floor pleading with Boston…”Please, please Boston….please give daddy a kissy….pleeeeeease?????”

Awww I thought that was a common thing…sticking socks on cat’s heads?!?! Dave does it to his moms cat all the time, now her chihuahua and I’ll admit, he did it too Rupert too *sigh* I’ve actually never seen a guy playing with a cat who doesn’t put a sock on their head

I’d like to see someone TRY to put a sock on my mom’s Devil-Cat! OMG, someone would lose an eye!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen any of the guys I know stick a sock on a cat’s head…although I do know several women who have had to confiscate the laser pointer because the aforementioned males wouldn’t give the poor cats any rest!

Allenj, my bf is the same, he pretends to be indifferent to the bunnies but this morning “Give Daddy a kissy Layla, kissy kissy Layla for Daddy” LOL then he GOT a kissy (amazing) and then “In your face Cassi! She gave me a kiss!!! …another kissy for Daddy Layla?”

Men! Yet when it’s time to change the bunnies’ litter tray it’s ‘they’re your rabbits, you do it’.

Anyone, not just of the male persuasion, in my house who dares utter the phrase, “let’s just get rid of the bunny” is in for some SERIOUS hurt! >_>

“Socks on the devil cat”…lolz. I can identify with that one. You don’t want to put ANYTHING near our feral girl, she flails when any part of your body comes into her ‘personal space’ and things bleed copiously. ~_~
