Wow, last week I sent an email to the gardening group that writes articles for the local paper, asking if any members had weeping willows that were treated organically. Today a lady came to work with a big garbage bag full of fresh green cuttings she had trimmed from her two trees. They are strictly organic in their yard and are always trimming so they can mow under it.

I’ll have to take a photo. My little willow tree dried up during those two 112 degree days, and while it’s putting out new branches it’s slow going so this is wonderful!

Can they have the fresh branches too, or just the leaves? (branches range from pinky finger diameter down to little thin whips.

I can’t wait to get home and watch them all dig into some leaves..

Willow is one of the woods that can be given fresh, branches included. My rabbits seem to prefer dried leaves over fresh ones, I noticed, but it seems to be just a matter of taste. ~
That’s going to be a willow party at your house!

You’ll have to take pictures of the willow party! I just hope Lola doesn’t try to whip you with one of the branches.

                well *cough* -confession – *cough*

since I didn’t have fresh greens for them this morning, I forgot to stop by the store on the way home late last night it may go a long way to get me out of Bunny Heck. You talk about a lot of stinkeye and thumping going on. I gave them a few grapevine leaves and split the rest of what I had left *pitiful* and lots of hay.

No carrots! I better not go home like that again or I won’t dare sleep. That’s the first time it’s ever happened since I got Pringles 4 years ago. I’ve never seen so much bunny butt in my life!

*gasp!* Monkey would call up Maryanne and get tips from her if I ever did that

it was even worse, Monkeybun. I knew I was in trouble so I tried sneaking in and leaving it with the lights off. But Toby ran out and for the catfood, so everyone woke up and wanted breakfast ;-( busted big time

My rather cool reception when I got home.

My poor little willow fried in the heat, it’s just now beginning to come back a bit.
