Anyone remember that show on TLC? With Doug from “Trading Spaces” it was when there were three families and one was moving out into a new home, then another family was buying their home..and then a third family moved into the second family’s home.. it was pretty neat..not sure if it’s still around..well we kind of had that today here!

Bear with me here..I’m very bored tonight LOL…

At first Drue and Tucker were in these cages:

But then since Drue and Tucker got “married” LOL, they had to Move Up..

then we have Thumper who had been residing in this lovely one story home..

But Thumper was learning that he really likes to jump and so he had to Move Up too!

He moved into Drue’s old cage..which was moved into Thumper’s room so easily..I mean only two doors had to come off and there was just a few pinched fingers..easy peasy!

Here is Thumper in his newly renovated cage that he inherited from Drue with Thumper’s new look to it..

Thumper is loving it by the way…he has been hopping up and down it all day and he’s found that there’s so many little spaces that he can jump in and hide :-P  We’ve also since installed a hay rack for him and added an extra litter box incase he doesn’t feel the need to go all the way down from the top…

And Drue and Tucker remodeled Thumper’s old cage into a second story for their new split level…yay for recycling!  (And yay for less zip ties that I had to cut apart!)

Recognize the top floor?  I was able to utilize Thumper’s old cage as the top floor of theirs!  I was originally going to just take apart Drue and Tucker’s cages and make a new one like Thumpers but then I realized that with Thumper’s love of jumping…he’d probably enjoy Drue’s old cage better then he’d like the one that he was currently in..and it really made things a lot easier too.

So that ends our episode of Moving Up and all the bunnies are now quite happy and content in their new homes and they’ve each gotten more of the kind of area that they enjoy out of the move..Tucker and Drue rarely ever used their upper levels and they more like to run around open spaces and lounge..where Thumper doesn’t really do that and the openness was a waste of space for him!

That is Drue in the last picture all flopped out, isn’t it?  I have not seen a pic of him in so long- and he is so handsome!  I love lops and I love color point/shaded bunnies- so he is too irresistible!

All those plans and sketches….lol It looks like it came together easily. I thought maybe Drue might react to Thumpers smell but from the pic he seems happy with the new place and housemate.
That stuffed bunny keeps freaking me out. It looks like a rabbit with head tilt and the colouring always has me thinking it’s real!

              Yep KC, that’s Drue!

And JG..the flooring is different in Drue and Tucker’s cage when I moved the old pen into their room.  It was just a pen for Thumper with no grids on the bottom, so the only thing that is the same is the walls..so maybe that’s why the smell didn’t bother him? I dunno..but yea he didn’t seem bothered and there was no poop wars or anything.  Thumper has a lot more of Drue’s smell on his cage but he didn’t seem bothered either..all my buns seem very easy in that department at least!

And yea, all the plans were driving me nuts, and in the end I went with simplicity because it was the easiest to put together and the easiest to maintain.
