        Hi

Just came back from holiday for a week and my rabbit had two lumps of brown wax on his ears. He’s never had this before and there is no wax in the actual ear canal only near the ends of his ears. He does itch his ears quite a lot and under one of the lumps the skin is quite sore and weepy.

Do you guys think it’s mites or do I just keep his ears clean? Will be taking him to the vets this week

Been cleaning the area with damp cotton pads. Not sure if I’d be making it worse by doing that though. He let’s me touch them and he’s still acting ad he normally does.

            Sounds like mites.

Found a blister on his ear this morning that keeps refilling and popping. His inner ear looks fine.

Very eager to get him to the vets on Monday. He’s acting normal but is maybe a bit more ‘hunched’. He’s vaxed against myxo but I’m still worried it’s that.

What you’re describing sounds like ear mites. Don’t pick the crusts off, it can be painful and exposing the area can make it worse. You should be fine waiting until Monday to see a vet. They can treat him for the mites and the crusts will fall off by themselves as the area heals.
