I know for rabbits the general rule is no nuts. Most of the reasons I’ve read though for nuts are “they are poisonous”. I constantly saw these in willow balls and I was looking around the kitchen for more bunny safe things to feed Lily while filling her new treat container with tiny carrot bits (I’m talking 1×2.5mm or less in size as me and Lily prefer more smaller treats over less larger treats) Well I saw the walnut and remembered how she ate her walnuts from the Willow ball that she got for Christmas as I read a rant about someone waking up at midnight to crush walnuts from willow balls ?. Ok back to what I was saying, are they safe? I’ve heard some things about fats and carbs but as with most fruit doesn’t that just mean “feed sparingly”? Or are they really dangerous? I’m asking to see if I can give her one. If yes, how often? I’m thinking maybe one every 2-4 months depending on her athletic activity as her diet is “perfect” (as ive been told by both vets I’ve visited recently) I’m hoping it will be fine?

I don’t see the point in giving her nuts when there are so many other healthy foods that they like. If you’re only planning on giving her them every few months it’s not like she’ll start ‘craving’ them anyway. I’d stick to veggies and small pieces of fruit
