Today, I was brushing Kinder (he started his very first shedding a couple days ago) and noticed his fur was a little uneven, some of his fur was already shedding like the butt area and near his tail, but his back still had short fur. I thought this was normal and continued to brush him. Afterwards, I saw some skin on his back where short fur had been. I was a little alarmed and didn’t know what to do, so I came here looking for advice. I don’t think I brushed too harshly but it could be a possibility and will brush more gently in the future. Will his fur grow back over time and is there anything I can do to help his fur grow back faster? The bald spot is pretty small. I don’t think it’s irritated or swollen. Thanks in advance.

Here is the brush I was using: grooming-mitt

Don’t worry, this can happen. Some buns shed in patches. My Bam got a bald spot last summer. It’s fur that’s already loose and comes off in a clump when you brush the bun. The fur grows back. You will se fine, peachy fuzz within a week – 10 days. If the skin looks fine it’s not a problem. There’s not really anything you need to do.
