Hey everyone so new owner of a 2 year old bunny bugsy. So when I bought her we got a cage with play pin at the store, which was to small for her obviously, so I got a dog play pin and we initially had two fleece blankets covering the 2×6 area but she would dig and chew on a corner but didn’t eat it. But I got worried she would try. So I got some untreated wood and vinyl tile and made a floor for her. But she was not happy about sliding around. Which brings me to my dilemma. I threw o me of the fleeced back in and she’s a little more exploitative but keeps sliding on the tile and running back in the litter box. I’d like for her to be able to play in there and not worry about her wanting to try eating the fleece.

FYI the tile I selected was the most traction one I could get. (Tested by sliding my hand on it)

If she’s not actually eating the fleece, then just chewing it is fine, so you could put that back down.

Otherwise, you could try a natural grass mats, or a sisal rug.

I also bought a rag rug as a floor cover for my chewy bunny, and she hasn’t shown any interest in chewing it at all, so that could work too She currently lives in the kitchen which is all tiled, and she definitely chooses to sit on her rugs over the tiles, so I think it is kindest to give them something warm and not slippy to sit on!

I have used those foam puzzle pieces before and my rabbits seem to love those. They can run and play without slipping and sliding. I bought them from Walmart. I haven’t had a problem with them chewing them either. Try it out
