Vibes for Peaches please

Can I get some vibes for Peaches please.

I noticed a lump on her front leg this weekend when I was trimming her nails nad also felt like she was lighter.  

The vet said she went from 4.81 pounds in February to 4.18 pounds today – not sure if it’s the result of this lump thing or not.  She tried to get some cells from the lump but it was too hard, so…we are doing some bloodwork today and will be removing it on Thursday and she will send it out for a histology.

I just hope all is well with her – she is 8 years old and she is very bonded to Peppermint and he is bonded to her.  They are a very shy, timid couple and really rely on each other for comfort.

Please more vibes for Ms. Peaches – this morning she had labored breathing and would not move.

The vet’s office is going to do chest x-rays on her and we are going to decide from their what to do – she most likely won’t have her surgery as she is not doing well.

I’m very concerned about her.

Unfortunately the news is not good for my little Peaches. The vet is not entirely sure what is wrong with her – it’s either cancer, pulmonary disease or heart disease. She mentioned a few options that we could POSSIBLY do but felt that Peaches was just too delicate to survive the procedures even though her bloodwork came back good. I didn’t want to take any chances and cause her to suffer any longer and we both decided it would be best to let her cross the bridge so she won’t suffer. She was afraid that she could possibly go into cardiac arrest at home and would die a horrible death that way.

I felt this morning when I saw her that she was not well and was afraid that was going to be the case.

So I am going to the vets later on this afternoon and say goodbye to her and let her cross the bridge. Please send Peaches some comforting vibes and send Peppermint strength vibes – I am going to let him sniff her so he knows she is gone. I’m not sure how he will be without her. Toffee was alot stronger when Twizzler went to the bridge a few years ago, but Peppermint really relies on Peaches.

I will miss my delicate little Peaches. She has been the best little rabbit ever.

I’m so sorry about Peaches and I know that the decision you and the vet made was hard on you. Even when we know there is no hope and it’s the best thing to do to let them cross the bridge, that doesn’t lessen our sadness at losing them. I hope that you and Peppermint can help each other cope. I know that you will both miss Peaches so much. Comfort to Peaches as she crosses and joins the happy, healthy bunnies on the other side.
