A report was received yesterday from a small rescue shelter in Haywards Heath,  West Sussex, that two rabbits have died within four days.  One has tested positive for VHD

VHD is a swift and efficient killer  VHD vaccines are incredibly effective, so please check and ensure that your pet rabbits have been vaccinated.  Rabbits can be protected with a single injection anytime from 10-12 weeks of age, then a booster every twelve month.

Vaccinations against myxomatosis are equally as important and can be given from 6 weeks of age.  Boosters are needed  every six months.
