  i am looking for vets in naperville or close to naperville. i want to get my bun neutered. but i want it cheap. i found one on the HRS Referral List. so i’m not sure if it is a experiencedrabbit vet.

  HRS has a very helpful list of questions to ask a vet’s office to help figure out if they’re bunny savvy. It is worth taking the time to check and ask the questions before making the appointment.

  Also – a local HRS or other rescue group may have some good advice about which vets theyhave worked with and trust in the area. I will tell you that although we have a local vet who is very knowledgable about rabbits, I choose to drive to the one 45 minutes away because it’s an exotics clinic and I prefer the level of care they give.

  Tinley Park IL is where my vet is.. I know that is a bit far.. but that is where we got Lilly spayed.. total it was 44$ for initial appt. and 144$ for spay.. its Dr. Scott Gallatin at the Bremen Animal Hospital.. its on the HRS website… he did a good job with her.. and he took care of her recent GI Stasis.. .he is a bit quirky, but does his job.

  i couldn’t help overhearing a person saying Sam Ristich is a really good doctor for dogs. and is also on the HRS list. great thing is he is really close to my house. bad thing is he charges neutering for $310.

  There is a girl on one of my bun groups who lives in Richton Park and works in a vet office – is that close enough for you to go to?
