I realise I have not posted in a while. Been a bit busy. But I woke up a few min ago to get a drink and use the rest room and stopped by to see the bunny. I noticed one of his eyes the puple was much smaller than his other eye. I know this can mean serious trauma to the head in humans, I did a flash light test on his other eye, and it responded fine (had to hold his eye open though) , But his one eye didnt move. ITs still clear, neither one are blood shot, and he does not seem in pain (not chattering his teeth) But I would just feel aweful as I cant help thinking this was my fault if he ended up dying because of this. Earlier this afternoon when putting hi, back in the cage he started really squirming and fell out of my arms on to the floor. Didnt yelp, scream or anything. But ran under my desk and wouldnt come out. he has drank water, and relieved him self like normal according to his cage. But wont accept any food I offer him. How ever se has never taken food out of my hand. Only when I put it in a bowl and leave it, I just put some food and hay in his cage now to see if he will eat. If I let him out in another room he hops around quite well. I have located a 24 hour emergency vet if needed, Im to worried to go back to sleep at this point. Am I correct though that this could be serious. Or is this a bunny trate of some sort. I noticed too a very small trace of blood on his bottom tooth. Im not sure what this could mean either though I put a wet towl to the bottom of his lip and havent seen any since. Would appreciate any advice.

I would take him in to the vet. Is the 24 hour ER vet rabbit savvy at all, do you know?
They should at least be able to help determine what is wrong. Perhaps he sustained an injury to his facial area in the fall. The unreactive pupil doesn’t sound normal. The bleeding certainly is a concern.
Please keep us updated. Good vibes to you and your bunny. ((((((((healing vibes)))))))))))))))

The er vet is recommended by the normal vet I usually take him to. They say they treat all animals, they are not specific to small animals. I just would use them being recommended by my normal vet. There is no new blood. But the eye is still different. Whats annoying is he really seemed to be getting used to his new home, and actually became great friends with my older dog, In the day time I would let the older dog and he both sleep on the bed. the bunny would sometimes nuzzle up to the dog for warmth. It was cute. Then this happens.

Edit to my last post. His eyes have returned to normal and no sign if blood for three hours now, how ever I will take him in to my normal vet tomorrow to have him looked over and be sure everything is ok.

That does sound scary and I’m very glad you are taking him to the vet tomorrow. It’s possible that he sustained some injury, though I am wondering if it is unrelated to the fall at all, or that the fall happened because he has something going on, not the reverse. Very glad you are bringing him in anyway. The eye is an unusual symptom. It doesn’t sound normal, so here’s hoping it’s just a passing incident or injury that is already healing.

                Keep us posted, please.

Vet yesterday said nothing seemed out of the norm for him. And he seemed like a normal healthy bunny. How Ever he took some xrays of his head to be sure, and didnt see anything. Told me what to look out for and when to bring him back if I have any concern. He is eating, and relieving him self like normal. Was laying stretched out under the bed this morning (he has his own room). I have a cage for him that I leave open 24/7 for and he hops in and out of that and runs around, then goes and lays down in the corner.

I’m glad he’s doing better. I would be terrified if that happened to my bunny. It’s strange how when you take them to the vet, they seem to fine from whatever was ailing them previously.
