Very Strange Poop! Please Help! (PICS)

I just found this in the bunny room on the floor. It freaked me out at first.

I smelled it, and it smelled fermented. Didn’t smell at all like poop or cecotropes. So I took a tweezers and pulled it apart and it looked like this:

The big dark thing looks like a piece of red leaf lettuce which they have been having for their meals this past week. I just fed them before I found this, so I wondered if it came from the lettuce bag, but I don’t know what the orangy/pinky/red stuff is. I almost thought it looked a little bloody. The lettuce bag didn’t smell fermented at all.

So my 2 main questions here are:

1. Is this poop, or something that fell out of the lettuce bag

2. If it’s poop should I try to get them into the vet tomorrow?

It does look like dark lettuce in the second pic…
Maybe partly eaten & mixed with other food in the mouth then dropped?

Food can get impacted food in the teeth sometimes.

I agree with Jersey. Doesn’t look like poop to me. Maybe it was some food that was stuck around a molar and then got dislodged and bun spit it out.

When Bindis molars get trimmed, my vet often finds food impacted around them.

Personally I am thinking “Toe Jam”
Goddess knows I have peeled similar off the bottom of my own feet.
Step in the cecals, step in the salad step in the hay, voila mystery poop.

Thanks guys. It was just so weird how the leafy part was so wrapped up inside of itself. I found it right where I opened the bag of red leaf lettuce so it at have come from that. It’s just so weird it freaked me out!
