It’s okay to start them now on small amounts now, that is perfectly okay – I would just give them one vegetable type at a time, not a variety of a bunch like you would an older rabbit in the beginning.  I know House Rabbit Society recommends 12 weeks but it’s really okay to start them on small amounts earlier, it will be just fine.  Give them more like a treat to start out with.

          Here’s their recommended veggie list:

I’d agree with Sarita’s suggestion, that in very small amounts it’s ok – just make sure to not offer too much and only offer one new thing at a time. Keep an eye on their litterbox, so you can notice if they don’t react well to something if there’s loose poops. If there’s any problem, then cut the veggie. I would stick with really more simple things, like a spring of parsley or dill.

Alfalfa & Timothy Hay cubes can also double as a treat for bunnies that aren’t ready to handle greens yet.

Just a note, bunnies should not be fed any type of beans at all as they can be toxic (lima, kidney & soy), cooked can cause GI overgrowth and dried contain lectins that are toxic to bunnies and they can cause severe bloating.  I imagine you meant peas, but I wanted to be sure. What kind of peas are you feeding your bun?  Sweet peas are high in starches and can cause severe digestive upset, gas & bloating but snow peas are OK.

My guys love these as well.  Have you tried offering herbs as treats?  Most buns enjoy fresh basil, oregano, sage or rosemary, and it is a good healthy thing for them to eat too!  Ours also enjoy a slice of radish once in a while.

Yeah it’s great when buns start eating greens! Although with Floppy, I bought some
Dill for him to try and he wasn’t too thrilled about them…someone told me to try fennel?
I Love Basil and Cilantro not only does my room smell good but so does Floppy after he
                          eats them!
