What veggies do your buns get everyday?

*FYI I moved this thread to the Diet and Care section 🙂

I aim to give my buns three dif greens a day, with more variety in the summer when we have more things from the garden. I make sure the lower calcium veggies make up at least half the salad because one of my buns had some bladder issues. Usually I include a type of lettuce (romaine, red leaf, or green leaf), and then some combo of bok choy, chard, cilantro, kale, carrot tops, radish tops, fennel, dandelion. I love foraging for wild plantain, mallow, and sow thistle as well.

Okay! How big is your rabbit and how much does he get per day? (Btw thanks for moving my thread to the correct section I’m new here and wasn’t sure where to put some of my topics 😅 )

              You’re welcome and no worries!

My buns (I have 4!) are all 3-5 lbs. I used to feed more veggies but have fed a bit less in recent years and I think my buns are doing a bit better with this lower amount (fewer issues during molting, less gas episodes, etc.). It works out to about 1 large “handful” of salad per day per bun. I have these little bowls that I fill with a heaping pile of salad and I give one to each pair. I also used to give salads twice a day but with 4 I opted to simplify 😉
