I was down on the ground spending some quality time with Penelope when I noticed that she was doing something strange. She would stop, lift her tail, pee just a little, continue on with what she was doing, and repeat this whole process over and over again. She didn’t seem to be in pain when she was peeing. I couldn’t really tell if she was straining, but there weren’t any obvious signs of it. There wasn’t any blood in it that I could tell because she was peeing on a dark rug, but I wiped it up with a paper towel and there didn’t seem to be any blood, but I have shut her up in her cage so I’ll be able to tell for sure if blood does start to appear. I’m worried it could be a UTI (or something worse
). I didn’t know if anyone else’s buns have had this problem and or what it turned out to be.
I was also thinking that it could just be from spite. I’ve been spending more time with Thumper the last couple days (because of the incident
) and I thought it could be jealousy. Penelope is a really needy rabbit (there is never such a thing as too many pets…she even doesn’t mind being held lol) I didn’t know if she could be doing it to show me that she was unhappy with me (she not letting me know any other way). Just wanted your alls thoughts. I tend to over-react when it comes to my babies, so it’s probably nothing. But I’ll continue to monitor her through-out the next couple days and take her to the vet if anything gets worse or changes. (I finally just paid off my vet bill too!
I knew it wouldn’t last long lol)
