  Okay, this is a bit of a sad subject for me… in September I moved into a new apartment with my bonded buns Wesley and Bluebell. I know there is always an adjustment period when bunnies (or people!) move, but over the past two weeks my rabbits have elected to spend 90% of their time under the couch in my apartment. Their litter and food area is on the other side of the living room. I am used to them spending a decent amount of time under couches/beds, as rabbits need their hideaways, but it has never been this extreme before.
  
  I do here them moving around during the night. But I am worried that they are not eating and drinking as much as they used to because they seem to spend so little time outside of the couch. I am not sure what is keeping them hidden specifically – the building is not loud, and the living room is covered in area rugs since all of the apartments have wood floors. Wesley has been through a move before, and he did so well with it.
  
  Maybe they just need more time? Aside from their reluctance to come out in the open, there are no other signs of illness or other problems. They still use the litter box, and although they spend so much time under the couch, they are not using it as a bathroom. I have their favorite veggies on hand, their favorite toys..
  
  Any advice? It makes me so sad to think that they are unhappy or scared of their new home.

  I wouldn’t think they’re unhappy exactly but you must miss them! They obviously feel secure there.
  
  Have you got things set up similar to your old place? Are the area rugs new or ones you had previously?
  Do you know if previous tenants had pets? Perhaps they are sensing residual smell of another animal.
  
  Wesley has been through a move before, and he did so well with it.
  
  Maybe it’s Bluebell that’s more insecure and as they’re now bonded, he’s opting to stay with her?
  
  Those 2 are too cute for words! Hopefully this is just a phase that they’ll come out of soon.
