I don’t think there is anything really that she should do. Her rabbit *may* be pregnant-if it was ever exposed to a male rabbit and both were unaltered. Even if they are supervised it takes seconds to mate.
It also may be having a false pregnancy. This can happen to unspayed females who bred but didn’t ‘catch’ and it can happen if they *think* they are pregnant-whether it’s a horomonal fluctuation or if they were spayed and bred, but aren’t pregnant.

I really don’t think this is a medical emergency at all. If she/he were to post, it’s fine-no one here would be mean! But that’s sweet of you to post for the member and get help for them

If it were me, just keep an eye, watch for babies-if unspayed female. Sometimes it can look like a pile of fur but there are babies in there. You can handle babies from birth so if the female is unspayed, they can just put their hand in the pile of fur to check.

Let her know that it’s okay to post an oops accident pregnancy here as long as it’s her first litter.

This could be a false pregnancy which may why she’s not interested in building the nest.

IF this really is a pregnancy then here are some links for her to help her through this:

Pregnancy/Babies – Uh Oh, Surprise Litter?:

            Hope that helps!

If she’s still not sure about whether they are male or female (which is very hard to tell for most people when they are young), then it might be a good idea to have them sexed by a qualified vet.

This happens more than you think! Bunnies (especially baby bunnies) are very hard to sex properly. Even some less experienced vets have messed it up! It’s not uncommon to get two buns thinking they are the same sex, only to find out later that they are not and by the time you figure it out, the female might be pregnant. I don’t want him/her to feel like we will be judgmental in regards to this. It happens… The important thing now is to separate the bunnies, and care for the babies (if there are any babies) and give them the best chance of survival.

Check out the links that BinkyBunny posted… and please let us know if there is a litter…

Oh no! How sad! That is very common, there could be genetic problems that caused them to die. It’s sad, but its better that it happens early on. Give her my sympathies and you can certainly keep posting updates so we can help!

All the best.  I lost all of my Jessica’s oops litter and after grieving, I realize that it was all for the best.  Please let this member know that they s/b ok w/ posting.  I think BB forums have some of the best people that are really non-judgmental or “flamers” (I learned that term on BB).
