Me and my girlfriend just rescued a bun at a local animal shelter about 6 days ago and i was starting to get a little worried. When he (Samson) would be in is cage, I would go over and attempt to stroke his forehead when he would present it to me. but everytime i would touch it he would jerk his head to one side or another. Like he was wincing or startled. So last night I persisted on a hunch and lo and behold…..he was working his way into a binky. It started with a head jerk and developed into a quick spinning jubillee. I was afriad he had been abused and was cowering. I’m relieved to know i make him happy…..because he does the same to me.

That’s great. It does sometimes take these guys a little while to warm up and trust you. Sounds like he’s very happy now.

the litter training is going …….better. thankfully the floor in my room is concrete untill i put the wood floor in. so i even took the extra step and put down a blue tarp. they seem to enjoy it.

Well at least it is progressing and you aren’t stressing over brand new wood flooring. : ) The tarp is a great idea, do you have anything over ti for traction like an old sheet?

Kudos Miss Rose……had not thought about that. Will try going to goodwill or Salvation Army to find something.

Thank you, and same to you! I find that the flanel sheets work particularly well and sop up the accidents, plus just toss them in the washer and voila, clean.

I am so glad to hear he’s settling into your house so well 🙂 The sheets are great, since you can just shake them out into your garden and voila, instant fertilizer, ha ha. I also really like to add in some seagrass or maize mats, since they’re very tasty for chewing and keeping bunnies entertained.
