Thank you guys so much for your information and support.
I have looked up different options and I definetly wanted to try the new bead method where they implant “antibiotic filled beads” into her jaw, but i found out it is bwteeen $800-$1000, which is not feasible for us, especially since there is no guarantee that it won’t come back in a few months.. It would be the best route for her, but we can’t do it at this time (financially)
There is also a way where the wound will basically be left open so that it heals over the hole (like a piercing in your ears) and you could clean it and apply these special honey-packs, but i am very squeemish and i would have to do it all the time, which also doesn’t sound like the greatest answer for “any-bunny”.
Sooo, i rescheduled the regular surgery where the vet will try to take out the absess and shave some of her jaw off. poor thing
i hope it works, at least for a year and i will be happy.Please say a prayer for Chewy— we rescheduled her surgery for the 29th.
