Ok so last time I posted was MONTHS ago………little update I had one bunny named Dora who passed away at 10 months for reason that were on clear. Her life was well she was a spolied little Diva. When I found out she was female I had gotten a rabbit from another lady who needed to get rid of her. Her name is now “miffy” when I tried to bond them it didint work as I was new at the whole thing. But I heard a friend of mine her sons hamster died and they were looking for a new pet. Miffy was the perfect rabbit for them and I had offered her to them./ It was a match made him heaven
and still is
WHile Dora was still Alive I was convince I would find her a loving friend. I adopted a rabbit from a shelter, he was a holland lop. THe thing was he was a male LOL so I needed to get him fixed. I wanted to try everything out and go slowly as he just came form a shleter and was found outside etc. So after having him for a couple months Dora passed away. It was sad.
Oreo did not liek being touch, held or picked up. He was very hard to clip his nails I had to get others to do it. His potty trainin was not well. I was worried that our family was not the right fit for this bun. Then I had the bunny sexed and found out he was not a he but a she. I called the shelter and exaplin to them that they had given me a female etc and theyw ere liek bring him back in. I thought about it and coulndt do it.
FOr the longest time I had went out and bought her the super cage LOL but I refused to let Oreo use it I couldnt do it. He knew she passed. After a couple months I decided Oreo should get use of this cage. SO i moved him into it. THings started to look up.
Oreo was getting time outside his cage before moving into this new cage. Bt then he refused to come out. Anytime I put my hand in there he would mvoe ot the other side of the cage. It was just really tramitic it seemed to try and get him out. So I slowly started to put my hand in and feed him veggies and such so e got use to my hand as his “friend” THen one day I needed his nails clipped, so my dad came over and just was quick and took him out of the cage. he clipped his nails and form that day on we have had a WHOLE new bunny.
Oreo is now fully potty trained in cage, and for outside most of it too, he loves cuddles, playing in the backyard and jsut being pat. My son gives him lots of attention and I think he has helped oreo come along. Oreo gives him kisses and he jsut loves his munny lol as my two year old calls him and feeds him and helps me clean his cage.
So thats the story lol he has bloomed into a beautiful loving bunny
