        Hi All,

Our 6 month old bunny has been exhibiting some strange behavior this morning.  Last night she was completely fine.  Right before bed time, she threw a bit of a fit being put back into her pen.  She seemed fine, and overnight she ate and drank water.

In the morning she is usually very excited to see us, and will zoom around her pen once we let her out.  However this morning, she came right out and laid down on her side.  She has been moving around, almost like it’s difficult for her to get comfortable and has been doing this the past 2 hours.  She peed this morning, and pooped a very tiny bit.  She is refusing basil, which she normally enjoys.  She has not zoomed at all, although when she moves around she seems to move normally.  We gave her some simethicone in case it’s something GI related, although she does not seem bloated.  We aren’t able to see a vet until later this afternoon, so I wanted to see if anybody else had any clues as to what might be going on and anything we can do to make her more comfortable before we see our vet later.

        Thanks so much!!

        Justin

Sounds like discomfort to me. It looks like it’s been awhile since you posted this. Did you make it to the vet?

            Thanks for checking in!

She wound up acting a bit more normal and we wound up not having to take her in.  We gave her simethicone just in case it was GI related and it turns out it was.  She was zooming around again by 4PM and has been eating drinking pooping and peeing normally!

Her statis behavior was the complete opposite of our last bunny.  We’re just glad it was something easily treatable.   We have a vet appointment this weekend so we’ll find out if anything unusual is going on.
