hi, were new to here so heres the background.

i have a 5month old dutch bunny. Called Dash hes my first house rabbit so still learning to make sure everything is bunny proofed!!!

however we got him a cage this was recomended to us for its size and the fact it has a ramp for him to get in and out of when we leave it open! this has been great for the last few  months but recently everytime we clean his cage and wipe it it’s becoming slippery. and the more we clean him the worse its getting! =(

he seems fine with it and hasnt suffered any injury from it yet!!!! but im worrying that if it gets worse he will start to hurt himself!

has anyone got any ideas of how to prevent this or a solution?

        thanks in advance!!

Have you tried putting some carpet tiles in? Or maybe some news paper? (if you use news paper try to make sure its soy based ink) Are you going to litter train your bun because if he is litter trained cleaning his cage would be much easier Welcome to the forum by the way!

Is it the cage floor or the ramp that has become slippery?

What cleaner are you using? I’m wondering if it has polished the plastic or left some residue.

You might want to change the cleaner. It sounds like there are some polishes in the cleaner. I use white vinegar and water. You could try putting straw mats down on the floor.
