Unhappy Bunny is happy

Hello, I recently posted about concerns about my bunny settling in and oh my gosh… i think i was wrong. i have spent every free moment with Slush on the floor and today he has been on my lap and asking for pets.. i let him sniff his brush and he put his head down so i brushed him. my partner said he didnt look happy and slush simply laid down more. then i moved. and he followed me and hasnt left my side.

i love my bunny so much it reduces me to tears. why did i not get him sooner? <3 i may still be learning what the best things are for him but it is so worth it

A bunny that wants to be pet will often place its chin on the floor near you. And then flatten further. They can really flatten!

Yay. And yes, bam is soooo right. They flatten like you’ve just ironed their nose on the ground…. amazing. Disappear into the carpet…. hahahaha.

oh i can’t wait to see that, he just looked so content like he was about to fall asleep. i was starting to think a mistake was made.. i know it can take them months to settle in and i have only had my boy a couple of weeks but he was a surprise birthday present and when jli saw him i wasn’t sure but as soon as paperwork was being done and i was asked to hold him, that was it. i was in love. he binkies, he runs around, he honks, some days i feel like i am rushing him and others he just seems so content.

i can just approach him and give him a soft pet and he doesnt even flinch… he was chewing our carpet and i stroked his side and he just sort of tilted his head and stayed there i wasn’t sure if he liked it or not he didn’t seem to disapprove haha.

oh arn’t they lovely? i was so stupid not to love them as much as i do.

he is such a clever bunny, i use his food to lure him bsck to his cage and instead of hopping back in he leaned over and grabbed some lettuce.. just sat with his paws on his cage..

i am so in love <3

I always joke that Bertha has a “semi-liquid” state, where we could just slide her under a door if we needed to
