what is done for them?? I plan to take Abbie to our vet if need be, i was just wondering what would cause uneven bites on bunnies? I was doing my usual monthly check and noticed it.

Hi Ashley! Uneven wear can happen a number of ways such as mis-aligned jaw, the way the rabbit eats, some no-no thing a rabbit has chewed on, or persisted on chewing. The solution to this is actually pretty simple in this case, filing it down. A vet may use a metal file or a dremmel tool to fix it. In some cases you can do it yourself once you learn how and I would ask your vet to demonstrate it to you if you are not comfortable with it and you have a rabbit that isn’t cooperative. What I used was use a metal nail file that I disinfected with a watered down peroxide solution (note that using rubbing alchol is not recommended because it tastes icky and is not made for consumption).

You’re welcome! I don’t see that the teeth need to be removed – seriously over such a minor thing. Keep an eye on it and just file it when needed and provide more chewing adventure for Abbie. I hate it when there is a problem with teeth some are too quick to suggest a removal of the teeth. If they were severely mis-aligned or deformed I would but in this case HECK NO! Abbie has otherwise beautiful teeth so please do not remove them!
