So I’ve had my rabbit for a little over a year. He litter trained quite easily when I got him. A few months ago I moved in with a room mate and her small dog. We started noticing that rabbit poop was getting spread further and further out of his cage and first blamed it on the dog. When her and the dog went on vacation the rabbit poop was still making it’s way out of the box. So obviously we put the blame on the wrong pet. Although what began as a small area around his box is now turning into him pooping everywhere. He’s recently begun hopping on the couch and leaving a dozen turds there as soon as my back is turned. I understand from other forum posts that my bunny is probably around the age of adolescence and marking territory but how can I correct this?? The worse is when last night after half a movie and some cuddles on the couch with bunny and boyfriend I fell asleep. My boyfriend had gotten up to get a glass of water and I woke up to my bunny peeing on me. He was not being held and is perfectly capable of getting on and off the couch by himself. This is the first time since being litter trained that he has urinated anywhere aside from his cage or litter box. Why???
