Anna W, Myxi can be spread by mites, which can be brought in on hay so indoor buns are actually no safer than those living outside. All need to be vaccinated.
RabiitPam, sadly, only Europe has Myxi vaccines. There have, I understand been representations made to ask for Myxi and VHD vaccinations in the USA but because the European rabbit (pet rabbits) aren’t native, the vaccinations are not permitted. Australia has VHD vaccination but not Myxi though there are pressure groups trying to have that changed for pets.
I post these Alerts to several other Yahoo groups and about 20 forums to ensure the warnings are spread as far as possible.
A member of one of the forums PMd me with this message just a few minutes ago.
>>Just had a message on Twitter to say there is also more – Between Ashford and Folkestone, Kent Junction 10-12 on M20, also on A20 same area<<
I went back to the forums to post the update and found on one that it is very widespread in Kent as reported by one forum member and also it seems in East Yorkshire as reported by another.
