Hi all, we are new to the bunny world and looking for some advice.
Two days ago we picked up two Giant French Lop Bunnies, Walter and Lillian.
Lillian is the most confident animal I have ever met, she is only 9 weeks old but tearing around the house at every opportunity, jumping all over us and thoroughly enjoying a scratch behind the ear.
Walter on the other hand is 8weeks and terrified to come out of the corner we put him in when he arrived. We have barely touched him and he will only eat and drink if it is put in front of him.
Our issue is that Lillian has forgotten all her litter-training since she has moved from her ‘childhood home’ and all the advice says to make their area smaller while they get the hang of it. However the advice for a shy rabbit says to leave their base (they will be free-roaming eventually) open so he can come out in his own time and explore gradually.
So how do we keep it open, while keeping it confined, while keeping them together because they have bonded?!
Please help!
