        Hi,

I’ve had Morrissey and Marr for about 2 months now, and I’m trying to give them a tunnel that will last. I bought a fabric one, they ripped holes in it and I tried vinyl duct work, but they just chew it. Would solid aluminum duct work be OK do you think? I mean, obviously no sharp edges.

I want something permanent. Any ideas would be great! Thx

I’ve used cardboard concrete building forms from the hardware store with the plastic lining removed. They aren’t completely permanent, but they last a really really long time, as the buns just work on the edges and peel cardboard layers away. It also keeps them busy and I think it satisfies their tunneling instinct more then they have something to work on in the tunnel.

My shelter uses these huge PVC plumbing tubes (like 8-10 ” diameter ones), and those are for sure permanent! Check the irrigation and plumbing sections of your hardware store.

I would stay away from the aluminum. I think they would prob chew it at least a little and could get cut.
