If its in a cage, you could try zip tying it to the cage bars, then she can’t move it around.

I use a little scoop to empty it, and I keep a big baggie of zipties around for when it needs a full on clean with vinegar. Then I just snip the zip ties and replace them after its clean.

And alternative is using a bigger box thats not as easy to move around. Then she might give up tryign and you dont have to worry about it

Someone on here (maybe Beka27?) suggested once that you can put a little hole in the litter box and put a zip tie loop through that hole, but dont tighten it to much. Then you can clip the zip tie loop to the cage bars with a dog leash clip. Does that make since? Then you can unhook it to take it out easily.

You could also use those caribiner things, rather than dog leash clips, if those are easier for you to find.

Yup, I am the one who dog-clips the hay box to the side of the pen! It works wonderfully, and you don’t go thru 8 million zipties.

Welcome Haley, by the way, I don’t think I’ve had the pleasure… ;o)

You aren’t the only one anymore. Freya kept yanking her litter box out of it’s corner overnight and then leaving a PILE of poop by the morning. I thought I remembered you talking about it before so we just popped a few holes in the litter box and put zip ties on it and we use big binder clips to keep it attatched to the side of her condo.

It works like a charm. I started doing this years ago with my first bun since he was always yanking his litterbox around. Back then, I just used a new ziptie each time I cleaned (3-4 times a week seeing as he was unneutered…) Then when we got Meadow, someone on here recommended I use the dog-clip and it’s been perfect.

Put the holes in a position so that when the tie goes thru, a determined bunny won’t be able to chew it.

Oh good! It does work to anchor the box! If she likes throwing and shoving things, make sure she has other toys (like a cardbaord box) that she can scoot around…

ok, every thing was going great after i clipped her litter box to her cadge. except now, instead of going in her litter box she goes in the opposite corner from the litter box. she still goes a little in the litter box but barely. so now it is so hard to clean her cadge cuz i have to scrap all the poop and pee off the bottom of the cadge. and if i ever want to keep her inside she has to be litter trained. what should i do?
