Hello, I am looking for some advice.
I have 3 bunnies-
Oscar (2 years old&Neutered) daddy
Lola- (10 months old& spayed) mommy
Luna-(5 months old&unspayed) baby
SITUATION: These 3 are a family- Luna was a surprise before Lola and Oscar got altered. They are a happy little family get along great -all bonded, we have recently noticed that Luna has been acting different- aggressive, digging lots- we just have associated it with her hormones and that it was time to get her spayed.
DILEMMA : I saw the cutest little bunny and i just needed to adopt her- SO i did. Her name is Bella (2 months)
NOW: We are a little worried about the bonding process because when we bonded Lola and Oscar it was like magic- no issues everything was fine. Anyways we brought this bunny home put her cage in the room and everything seemed fine- my boyfriend thought we should try and put Bella in with them all- BIG NO NO- A HUGE FIGHT BROKE OUT BETWEEN LOLA AND LUNA- Luna started attacking her mom (It was the scariest thing I’ve ever seen)
I am worried I broke the bond between Lola and Luna- They can not be around each other now because Luna keeps trying to attack Lola. Luna is fine with Oscar but she has to be separated from everyone. Lola and Oscar are fine with each other and seem curious about the new bunny Bella- they go around her cage and sniff and are scoping her out- BUT now since we have to separate Luna from everyone else I’m scared they will never be bonded.
SO HERE ARE MY QUESTIONS:
Should I get Luna spayed before I put her back in with her family and try and bond her with the new bunny?
Should I bond thee bunnies one at a time in a neutral space?
Should I bond them all together in a neutral space?
Should I remove Bella the new bunny from their space?
Should I keep them in the same vicinity for a week before I try and bond them?
I am extremely worried and would like any advice that anyone has to offer.
