I’ve got two bunnies a lionhead and a mini lop. I got my lionhead 3 years ago from my local pet shop. I didn’t realise how much bunnies needed Companions so last year I adopted a mini lop. My lionhead is neutered so I thought they would get along. Sadly when I started introducing them they tried to kill each other. I was wondering if I got my mini lop neutered will they get along?

All need to be neutered prior to bonding.

Hi I am also trying to bond bunnies. Sorry I am new on here and this seemed an appropriate title so hope it’s ok that I jump in with a question of my own, rather than a reply. I have a wee girl bunny who is in love with the boy I am trying to bond her with. She just wants to play with him and cuddle up to him and shows no aggression towards him whatsoever. But this wasn’t the case at the start of our bonding journey. She started out wanting to kill him and boxing etc. They are both neutered by the way. Anyway, Manuka (boy) will groom Binky but then he chases her with his ears back and his teeth out. Is he mad that she doesn’t groom him back? Or does he just want to hump her? She jumped him once a week ago, but other than that there has been no humping. There’s no way she’s letting him hump her as far as I can see. I don’t know why she doesn’t groom him back because she went through a failed bonding before this and she would groom the other bun, but the other bun would attack her when she stopped. Maybe I just answered my own question.

Hi Binky Manuka, it’s best to start your own thread, so things don’t get confusing.

When you do, please describe what you’ve been doing to bond them: whether you did pre-bonding, where the dates are taking place, how many dates they’ve had, how long they’ve been neutered, etc.

It sounds like they are still sorting out dominance, so knowing all the details above will help decide next steps.
