I have read on here that it’s better for their digestive systems if they forage for their food rather then get their pellets from a bowl. I’ve been hesitant to do this because I was thinking that if I did this how would I know that Tucker got everything? But tonight I decided to try it. I was in there rearranging the pen anyway because I wanted to put a water bowl in there along with the water bottle since she likes water bowls better but I wanted to keep the bottle there in case she spills it and is without water overnight. Anyway, so I decided to sprinkle them about. I put about half of them where her bowl is though..so that even if she can’t find them she still has some to eat plus her hay. I also moved the hay to the shelf since the litter box is down below with a big bowl of hay there anyway for her lounging and nomming enjoyment.
Plus I moved the smaller downstairs litter box up to the top shelf. We’ll see if she likes it there. I have no doubt that if she doesn’t it’ll be knocked onto the floor by morning and I will have a huge mess to clean up. That will be my signal that no..she does not approve. Most things on the top shelf are not approved by Tucker. Things get tossed off their left and right..so we’ll see how this goes. I got the stink eye for about 20 minutes straight because I put some toys up there as usual and she was pushing the one block off and it got stuck behind the hay basket which is new to there too. The hay basket is clipped to the side so she can’t budge that. She was NOT so happy. I swear she was saying “Look what you did. Now there’s a block on my shelf..and it’s STUCK because of you” I bet by morning it’s gone hehehe.
