So on another post cookie asked about nose wiggles and another member mentioned how nose-wiggles can actually be a way to communicate. I had completely forgotten about that, but I remember trying this with my bunnies before, and they did respond. .
Check this out link out http://www.paperglyphs.com/rabbits/rabbittalk.html Click on "nose wiggling" on the upper left hand side of the page, read the article and then try it.
I just recently did this again with Bailey to try and keep her calm. When I started nose wiggling, she at first stopped (probably thinking – eeeeek, now that’s attractive!) but then she basically mirrored what I was doing, but she’d always stop and observe for a second first after each change. I stopped and watched her to make sure that it wasn’t part of her regular nose wiggling routine, and that I may just be ready for the funny farm (well, that’s true anyway
)
Remember, since bunnies don’t have the best eyesight, get close enough to your bunny where s/he can clearly see the details of your face.
Okay, nutty binkybunners, get wigglin’ and then share the results.
