So little wolf is going speed-dating tomorrow and meeting three bachelorettes. the rescue said I should expect to be there for at least 3 hours. they will obviously have food and water there, but Wolfie doesn’t really eat when he’s stressed. I’m concerned he’ll go without food for like 5 hours (have to drive there and back) and throw himself into stasis. I’m gonna make sure he eats before we leave, but I’m wondering: 1) how long bunnies can truly go without food before we run into issues? (Aka am I worrying about this for nothing) 2) will his instincts kick in at some point to eat? 3) what else can I do to make sure his digestion keeps trucking during this process?
Also, I have the ability to spend the night closer to the rescue. He has a home base set up there, and it would cut out like 30 minutes of travel tomorrow. I’m not sure if that would be better for him, or if the double travel would make him more stressed. Any advice or input is welcome!
