        From rabbit.org http://www.rabbit.org/journal/2-7/letterman.html

        Pretty cute

        Top 10 Rabbit Sounds

(Sure, they don’t make any noise)

        10. The scoot and shuffle of a litterbox being moved from here to over there

        9. Shriek of “Argh!” by human roommate on discovering that the fresh cut flowers are now only a vase full of stems

        8. “Crash-boom-bang” from landsliding books, papers and pens while investigating the top of the desk

        7. Nasal grunt, accompanied by flailing fore paws, when being impolite to guests

        6. Lips smacking bananas

        5. Snort of disgust on being offered a zucchini snack

        4. “Tooth purring”–the grind of contentment

        3. Silence on the phone line because the cord has been chomped again

        2. Toenails that go “click-click” on the linoleum

And the number 1 sound produced by rabbits:

The “clackety-clack-clack” of the water bottle at three o’clock in the morning

What? No Thumps? In my house – hard wood floors – those are really loud!

#2 makes me think Mortisha would be so proud!

The shaking of the bars of the cage at 3am, not because they’re trapped but because they just like to shake them.

Scratching at the door at 6am, because they’re awake so I should be too!

The ZUUuuum noise Layla makes when she runs the bunny500, getting louder as she comes towards me and fainter as she heads off.

The shredding and tearing sound of the phonebook or newspaper being ripped and chewed.

The sound of the box with the  phonebook and empty food dish being drug to the bathroom door so I see it first thing when I wake up from bed.

The digging in and banging sounds of the frustrated HB at the emppty food dish at 6 a m.   Gee thanks HB I had another 1/2 of sleep b4 morning prayer  zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

OH yes, that clacking water sippy. *groan* Mimzy is famous for drinking all his water after I’ve turned out the light for the night. And somehow he makes it last till 4 AM, when he starts tossing the litter box to get mommy up for breakfast.

I finally heard him chewing on his hanging wooden toys this morning, which he’s almost never done. So the banging noise of the wooden toy pin against the cage bars at the wee hours is one.

Also, the shredding of cardboard tubes instead of your bones would be a good one. When my bunnies are frustrated with me, the tubes take the heat. NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM!

I’ll never forget one of the first times my boyf came to my apartment. We were sitting watching tv and he kept saying, “What is that sound?”. I didn’t hear anything, so I told him he was just hearing things. Finally he turned off the tv and says “That sound, you don’t hear that clicking sound?” I of course didn’t know what he was talking about. Then he looks over at Felony’s cage and thinks he’s chewing on his water bottle. I realize he’s hearing the familar clack clack clack of the metal ball in his bottle. I’ve grown so accustomed to it, I don’t even hear it when someone points it out….

Oh, I love the lip smacking!!! Love, love, love it!!! The first time I had ever given Velvet a piece of banana, I thought I had reached heaven! That was the one thing she would take from me without attacking me and then her little lips went smack, smack, smack and her pink tongue came out to get all leftovers she could have possibly had on her upper lip… Oh gosh, that was the most endearing thing ever!
When they drink out of their water dish – I smush down on the ground regularly to watch them drink. Dancer is so adorable when he drinks! His ears straight up in the air, lick, lick, lick… I could watch him drink in forever!

Liza – my buns sit by their bowl in the morning and “Lip smack” when they want breakfast. Oh, yes, right away! I am so well trained!

I’ve never heard the lip smacking. I do hear toys, bowls and anything else not ziptied down get flung from the highest level of the condo when I try to sleep late. Onto the wooden floor.

I personally like the whooshy-flicky sounds when they shake their paws off before “bathing”

hooty- I’ve had the same thing happen to me. Boyfriend was staying over and suddenly popped up like “What’s that noise??” and went into protector mode.. I didn’t even notice the noise- it was the guinea pigs drinking from the water bottle.

I love that ‘whoop-whoop’ before they wash their faces. Mimzy’s paws are particularly loud when he flicks them…it is the cutest thing! ^_^
