I just got Radar about two weeks ago and she’s the exact opposite of the scared shaking nervous bunny that I expected to bring home.  (She’s currently zooming around our computer room as fast as she possibly can while kicking off the wall to get lift off)  She’s bold, brave and curious… she wants affection almost to the point of being aggressivly friendly.

I was wondering if this is out of the ordinary.  From all that I read about bunnies before I got one, it seems odd.  Not that I’m complaining about having an easy time with her or anything.

Also, is it normal for them to ignore the expensive toy and play with something that the toy came in?  (Radar LOVES her paper bag from the petstore)

What a lucky bunny owner you are! Some bunnies are like yours, extra friendly and excited.  Radar is just getting out of her jouvenile stage and hitting adulthood so you’ll have a pretty good idea now of her bunny personality. Oh yes, ditch the pricey toys, the cheap fun stuff rocks!

all bunnies have distinct personalities so it sounds like you have a very gregarious lil bunny! Her personality sounds similar to my Viktor. She sounds like the kind of bunny who might really be happy as part of a bonded pair. Viktor was very pushy with his need for affection until he was bonded with Pandora. Now they are like two peas in a pod much of the time – playing, grooming and snuggling.

willow toys are a big hit with my bunnies and aren’t very expensive. boxes are great too 🙂
