Went to the vet today just for a check up and the vet saw points on Roo’s teeth. She just wants to watch them for now. She had them on one tooth already and was being watched by another vet. We just moved and this is the only vet within 2 hours. She said they’re not causing ulcerations. She chews on apple sticks from Busy Bunny and eats plenty of timothy hay. Any suggestions for anything else for her to chew on? She suggested giving her alfalfa stems with her timothy hay but she also felt she was a 1/2 pound overweight.

Actually Edson had a teeny tiny point on one tooth and the vet was not at all concerned because she was sure it would wear down since he eats a ton of hay.  A great toy for them to chew are those medium size and jumbo size willow balls. Edson has been devouring them.

some bunnies have teeth problem regardless of what they chew on. as long as the vet is aware and can keep an eye on it, i would not worry too much about it. keep close watch for anything that might indicate he is in pain or having a hard time eating.

*Pain indications and problems would be: Not eating, not eating things like hay or large peices of things, grinding of the teeth (not a purr, this would occur when you are not petting her) and sitting hunched up in a ball or adjusting quite often. All of this would be deviations from the norm and you would notice them as a change.

I think if the vet is unconcerned then I wouldn’t lose sleep over it, just keep an eye
