Hi,  my family and I are in the habit of giving Freddy a small amount of oats every morning for breaky.  I’m worried this is not good for him, but he loves them!  They are plain, organic oats.

Do you think I should cut this out?

        Thanks

I have known of other rabbit owners who have given their buns oats … particularly in cases where their bun cannot eat pellets.

I would not think it would hurt …

Have you heard about the bunny bikkies you can make … one ingredient is oats … cooked pumpkin, bit honey, mashed banana … the receipe is here somewhere (I think) and I know that RoseBud (Scarlet Rose) makes them for her two furry faces.

Yep. I’ve seen the recipes for bunny biscuits. However, I struggle to bake for my children so Freddy hasn’t got much hope of being that spoilt. I’m sure he’d love them and demand them every day too!

These are fine as a treat. Also for rabbits who are ill or need to gain weight.
