Hi,
I’m new to this forum but did use it initially when I got my first house rabbit 6 months ago, a dwarf make lop, I got him neutered quickly afterwards. He’s amazing, love him so much but I thought he needed some more company….so yesterday I collected two beautiful chilled out Favres Du Bourgogne lady bunnies from a local breeder.
I kept them in a cage whilst my male lop investigates, everything seemed all good, very gentle….so I opened the door and he basically got uber jiggy with them and was going from one to the other until one banged her foot and then I took him out. That is all he wants to do, fair enough, he is a bunny but I didn’t want him completely doing their heads in and then they don’t get on.
So…would you say that was a good introduction, they all seemed ok, they are still all very nice to each other through the cage. Should I just let them out the cage and supervised just let him get on with it until he’s had enough (feel a bit mean doing this on the girl bunnies!), will he settle down? As soon as I open their cage to put hay in he desperate to get in!
I’m worried he’ll hump them to death or something!!!
Any advice much appreciated
