My boy bun is neutered, free roam and 1.5 years old. Today i brought him a friend, 2 month holland lop. She stays in a cage in my room, and he comes to see her but when she sticks her face through the gate, he grunts sticks his face through and boxed her. Should i not allow him to even see her until after she is spayed and healed?
He seems on high alert, and sometimes comes up just to look at her, but she is just enjoying herself.
I need help and any tips! This is my first time having 2 buns

They should be kept totally separate until they’re both spayed and neutered. If they share a play space then you need to ensure that’s there’s double bars around the cages so they cant ever reach to box or nip.

What you can start doing in a couple of weeks (so the new girl has time to settle in first) is prebonding, which is swapping them between cages so they get used to the smell of each other that will help when you come to bond them.

I advise reading the bunny info bonding section, and have a read of some other people’s bonding threads so you get an idea of what the process looks like

            Great advice above.
