› FORUM › DIET & CARE › Tip With Willow Wreaths and Q about Meadow Mix
I found out they fit PERFECTLY in those large freezer ziplock bags. You can fit one per bag. This seems like a perfect way to store them for the long winter that is lack of willow wreaths. I need to buy more. 1 wreath is demolished to nothing in a day and a half.
I was thinking about adding to that shipment a mini-bale. I had the bunny blend and the my bunnies are wild over it, but I was thinking about getting another bale of hay since I will be ordering wreaths anyway. How do your buns find the meadow mix? Thanks for your input!!
Binkybunny says her bunnies love the Meadow Mix since they are waiting
for the Bunny Blend to come in…I am kinda bummed cause I wanted to order the
Bunny Blend and the wreaths too…but I am waiting to order everything at once!
*sigh*
Does anyone know when Binky Bunny will be getting more bunny blend?
Floppy, me too! nitetygress, Binky Bunny said that the last shipment wasn’t up to snuff, so we may just have to wait and see. Maybe she’ll post when it’s in. : )
Hi ladies. I am still waiting. I should know more in a few days. Niteygress, I hate to tell you this but…it’s best not to store the wreaths in plastic. They do need to breath, otherwise they can actually get moldy. They can last for months out in the open air. So it really is best to put them in a paper bag, cardboard box, or even better, hang them on the the string they came with somewhere. I do have a sheet now that I send with the wreaths that offer storing advice. But I should be sure to clarify to not store in plastic.
Oh…I thought someone said to store them in an air tight container =) Oh well, sorry to give bad advice, I just thought I remembered reading that somewhere.
Does anyone know if the willow leaves have nutritional value?
That was me actually, and I store them with the paper still wrapped around them in a plastic storage box to stop moisture, my concern are bugs crawling in and making a nest in them and cardboard boxes won’t do. Is this safe Binky Bunny? I haven’t had a problem with mold or moisture but then I live in a very airid environment.
Well I just ordered 30 of these wreaths…hopefully they will store OK in the closet.
30? Wow lucky bunny!!!
Ya….spoiled & expensive bunny
Poopy – storing them in closet should be just fine. Are you hanging them, putting them in a cardboard box or?? Either way should be okay.
Scarlet – unless you have the amount that poopy has, you should be okay to store in plastic, but the wreaths are like hay in the way that they need to breathe and can actually get moldy over time if stored in plastic. But if you are going to use them within a month, then you don’t have to worry about it much.

I know! My buns get so spoiled. I spend more a month on them than myself sometimes I swear…
My buns are quite spoiled too – but I love shopping for them because its guilt-free shopping! I can always think in my head that no matter what I buy for my bunnies, its really an “essential” item! (I like grocery shopping for the same reason – spending money guilt free!)
Poopy, you got that right! Such spoiled little fur balls.
Binky Bunny – Thank you!!!! I’ll plan on the cardboard box for larger quantities.
How long do orders take to arrive for CA?
I buy all my veggies from one farmer at the farmer’s market. He frequently cuts me deals and gives me scraps. Well he’s actually an organic farmer. He always teases me that my bunnies are the best fed in the world! He always pauses, "…they are the happiest, healthiest bunnies). I recently ordered some wreaths to try, I’m just waiting for the delivery. My postman is REALLY slow! I filled out the signature form 2 days ago and I’m still waiting. I can’t wait, the buns are going to be so happy & then I can order up some for the winter.
It may take a little while for your orders to show up. Binky Bunny will be sending it out soon I expect, I believe that she is out of town at the moment.
Poopy, you ordered during our posted Big Sale with a Little Hitch – all your products are 10 percent off, but the hitch that was posted: they won’t be shipped until tomorrow the 11th. (we were out of town) You may already know this, but just in case, you were wondering and didnt’ see the posted sale (it’s over now) Anyway, they will be shipped out tomorrow and usually within California it takes just a few days.
Also check your email as we have sent out a notice to all customers that ordered wreaths. We now make “Bundles” instead. Easier to store, ship and no inconvenient Bunny Necklace problems.
OH so that’s what HITCH meant, I wasn’t sure what word meant. Medusa is looking forward to it! She has been bored lately and has grown tired of the willow tunnels and tents I got her…I know she loves those wreaths though!
I can’t stand my post-person! I just don’t understand, they don’t seem to notice anything. After still not receiving my package today, I looked all over our apt mailbox, just incase it feel off the box. I got the delivery notice on Monday and signed it to authorize the postal agent to sign for the package and leave it on my porch. I taped it to the box on Tuesday and didn’t see it again, so I figured everything was fine. I’ve learned to super tape it right over where the mailman uses their key to open the box for mail delivery. Well based on what I can tell, this knuckle head did not take the slip. Instead they left it taped and still put the mail in the boxes. Now the slip, still taped, as been pushed into the box and I can’t access it. Fricken moran! This is bad, considering that I used to live in the country’s worst zipcode (60613).
Poopy – They were sent out today so they should be there very soon! Sorry that somehow the “hitch” was not more apparent. I am wondering now if I will soon be getting emails from customers asking where their packages are.
Skunklion – I know what you mean about the USPS. In my experiences, their online and phone customer service is a complete joke. We are actually going to be changing to Fedex Ground soon. Better customer service for businesses, better rates for businesses which I can pass down to customers, quicker and more reliable. I have had it with USPS.
Yay Medusa got her stuff. Since the wreaths are now in bundles I looped some through a half-eaten willow cube (she ignores willow cubes after she eats half of it usually). I also stuck a willow candy cane through there since she wasn’t touching that. Thanks BB! Medusa gave approval by laying down next to my feet after I fed her this.

Streeeetttcccchhhhh

CUTE! Creative way to make a new chew toy too.
What’s the daily max limit on the willow wreaths? Medusa became quite hyper after eating them (she didn’t before when she had these), she started knocking down her bunny castle afterwards. Maybe I gave her too much.

UPS isn’t bad either, and they provide discounts for shipping through paypal too.
